TRILOGY ART SHOW AT Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art

Portrait of Cori 9.5" x 10.5" ink and watercolor 2015

‘Portrait of Cori’ will be on display during the Trilogy III- Spirit exhibition on March 6

Red Door Art Gallery & Studio has introduced an art-community-building event that doubles as a fundraiser for the children’s art program at the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art.  Defining features of the Trilogy Art Show include three themes (Body, Mind and Soul); spans over three months (January 16, February 6 and March 6); and involves three types of mixed media in most of the submitted works.

The first of three installments of Trilogy Art Show is on Jan 16.  Artists have interpreted the theme “Body” and created a piece of art that ties to it.  About 50 of those pieces will be exhibited  at the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art. The opening reception is Friday, Jan 16 from 7-9pm.

The second theme is Trilogy II  – Mind. Join us at The Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art on Friday, Feb 6 between 7-9pm for the opening.

The third theme is Trilogy III – Spirit. The opening will be at The Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art on Friday, Mar 6 from 7-9pm.

I will have paintings and/or drawings in each show – hope to see you there!

There will be a vast array of styles (realism, impressionism, abstract, folk, figurative to name a few)  as well as a healthy mix of media including paintings, sculpture, mosaics and more.  All of the works, along with the artists’ descriptions detailing their inspiration and process are available to view or purchase on Red Door’s website:

Most works are for sale – 30% of the purchase price goes to the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art to benefit their children’s art program.
