Award winner at Tannery Row Artist Colony 3-D Juried Exhibition 6/9/2018

The second weekend of June was a full one for me. First, I was driving to Bakersfield, NC to take a two-day clay workshop with Lisa Clague Then I had to leave the workshop early in order to make it back for an art show opening that had two of my pieces. Really not a bad problem to have as an artist.

I put on a non-wrinkle outfit suitable for a night out on the town and drove four and a half hours straight to Tannery Row Artist Colony in Buford, GA. My husband, family, and friends met me there. When I walked in the gallery, I found that my piece “The Horned Man of the Sea” had been awarded 2nd place and I was beyond thrilled!  Many thanks to the juror, sculptor Kevin Chambers .
